(earlier from this year)After drawing cutesy animals for a children's book, which included very common "cute" animals like bunnies and foxes etc., I wanted to try to paint something I personally found the cutest.
I think moths are probably the most adorable animals. So small and fragile, fluffy and cute and the way they fly at night is somehow adventurous..! Just fluttering around.
This thing where I post every day something I've done earlier this year is somehow very good for me, considering finishing art pieces? Like I have a specific idea of how full of detail the pic must be to post it, but now that I'm doing just very quick finishing touches, I understand that it doesn't have to be much. And I can leave some painterly feeling etc etc.
Also it's fun to see my gallery fill up after it's been a bit inactive for this year..!
This year I mostly shared my art to my friends in Discord etc. But I forgot how fun it is to post them online, when I get a lot of feedback from different people.
Like I thought the magpie macaw piece would've been kinda boring or something, but was happy to find out that others found it interesting as well!

I think insects are mostly very cute as well. Now they only need to learn what personal space is.
I hate it when they suddenly fly directly in your face ><

Lovely work! Moth are generally underappreciated due to the fact that most of the species that commonly become in contact with humans aren't the most attractive ones, moreover the way they tend to fly around like crazy doesn't really earn a lot of affection from people. I really like the hawk/sphinx moths.Β Β
