Ok, I haven't read any of the other comments yet so I'm not sure if anyone else has felt this way by looking at this piece... And I can't read the website you linked to so I really can't see where your inspiration came from so forgive me... But…
When I look at this it actually reminds me and makes me feel how I feel when I draw, write, or RP characters I have made. To me each character I create through the various artistic manners, or even just daydream up, they tend to have a spark of spirit to them... They become almost real to me with feelings, hopes, dreams, sorrows of their own. And all these build up without very much effort on my part.
Emotionally this piece to me represents the Artists out there and the bonds the creator has with his/her creations. And although they may just be the illusions of our imaginations they are still very much alive and a part of us.
Though the reaching hands are a bit creepy. X-D Still the affect when I first looked at this is as above. ^.^
I very much love the little things, such as the paint creping from the paint brush. And how the blue eyes just seem to pop. Lovely picture.

The light in this picture is as warm and golden as in some renaissance paintings, works of great artists. I may not know the story, but the ghostly hands the light and his stunning eyes are all perfect...
You can be really proud of yourself, you created a stunning, capturing piece of art.

I mean this completely positively... he is a devil, a demon, that can capture your soul and put it into his work. leaving you baron. I think he is one of the few perfect tricksters that can get a way wiht everything. Please keep him close. I really do like your attention to his personality shown in this work. thought i could be completly off-baises when i was talking about him... unfortunetly for the link i can not read russian so i am dissapointed in that i cant tell his origins.

Ah, man, ah, man -- this is simply stunning! The coloring and story and -- and everything is so elegant and beautiful.
I especially love the ghostly figures bursting from the page -- and the expression that the painter holds is endlessly intriguing. However, his torso does seem a smidge too long -- but since you can hardly see it anyway, it's not something very noticeable at all.
