Characters sketches from Cyborg Soldier 009. reminded me on Twitter recently that I used to LOVE this show. I went back and watched a few episodes. This is a real classic show that definitely holds up.Little weird fact, people have pointed out that Billiam from Parody Rangers looks a lot like 002. The first sketch of Billiam I ever did was a cross between 002 and Phoenix Wright; I ended up leaning more towards the 002 side in the end. It was later that I found out the creator of Cyborg 009 is in fact ALSO the creator of the very first Sentai series in Japan that later went on to be Power Rangers! CUH-RAZY.

Going off on your little fact about Power Rangers, the creator of Cyborg 009 was also the creator of Sentai's (older) brother series, Kamen Rider which was based on his earlier work, Skull Man. The recent Skull Man anime is based off of his work and even features a tie-in with Cyborg 009.

I think I've seen 002 somewhere else before too. In a "Legend of Zelda" comic that was in Nintendo Power. That guy fought Link by turning into some sort of bird warrior creature.
