For any of you who don't know what I am talking about or why Adeleine is looking at this sign let me explain.
Most racing games usually don't want you to worry about your racing sponsors since it would be pointless to include. Daytona USA however shows how important your sponsors are with a secret sign that doesn't trigger a game over but grantees one. (It triggers even if you finish the race anyway because it's a arcade game lol) In most racing games if you end up turned around you get a huge warning icon informing you that you are going the wrong way. Daytona USA is one of those games but SRB2 kart does not for some reason as the game instead makes a weird error sound which isn't as effective. If however you drive in reverse in Dinosaur Canyon (The advanced track) you can find a ramp near the pit station that leads to a tunnel and can be followed. If however you drive into the tunnel you will not only see a dead-end but also a huge yellow sigh (Like in the picture above but lower and way bigger) and reads "CONGRATULATIONS YOU JUST LOST YOUR SPONSORS!". Once you discover this sign you will be left with too little time to finish the track causing you to lose the race. It was unusual sure but it served as a reminder to focus on the track next time.
"So what does this have to relate to SRB2 kart?" you may be asking. Well Pilzkopf went ahead and put the Easter egg on the track. It is harder to access because there are 2 signs in the way and you can't drive through them but it is still possible to get around them and get to the sign.
Adeleine is probably like "What? I don't even have any racing sponsors because go-kart racing doesn't use this!" because Go-kart racing does not have racing sponsors for the karts.
Even funnier is that I was using the Daytona Kart mod when I stumbled across it lol
