Have you ever tuned on your TV and was creeped out or disturbed by one specific character? And one that wasn't even supposed to be creepy!
Seems like tv shows, movies, and commercials everywhere seem to have these unintentionally nightmarish characters so today, I'm gonna be counting down the Top 10 Unintentionally Disturbing Characters.

#10. Dokuro-Chan (Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan)
"Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan" is a harem anime starring a teenage boy called Sakura. This boy is destined to create a machine that stops girls from aging. The anime also starred Dokuro-Chan as the female lead. She's an angel that was sent back in time to kill him, but this fails due to her falling in love with him. As the series goes on, Sakura and Dokuro become close friends and Dokuro repays the favor by resurrecting Sakura every time he gets killed. She shows her love by killing him over and over again. Her preferred method of killing him seems to be bludgeoning him to death with her spiked club. What makes Dokuro turn from cute to disturbing is that angels in real life are said to have never eaten in the Garden of Eden, therefore angels have no understanding of good or evil, which makes one wonder if Dokuro even knows she's hurting him.

#9. Krinkles the Clown (Post Sugar Rice Krinkles Commercials)
Krinkles was a mascot for a discontinued sugar cereal called "Sugar Rice Krinkles". Even though he was meant to promote the cereal as a kid-friendly character, the black-and-white coloring makes him look more like a serial killer. Krinkles was actually created to replace the cereal's previous mascot, a Chinese boy called So Hi because he could only reach so high. When it was clear that So Hi was a racist caricature, the company quickly threw him out and Krinkles the Clown entered the scene. The company that produced the cereal claimed that Krinkles would be a safe alternative to So Hi. Well, many 60s kids terrorized by this clown begged to differ. The cereal was discontinued late in the 60s and Krinkles, like So Hi, faded into obscurity.

#8. Mr. Blobby (Noel's House Party)
"Noel's House Party" was a Saturday night TV show that aired on the BBC in the 90s, and was once hailed as the most important show on the BBC. Despite the positive reception of the show, one of the show's characters received heavy criticism and that character was Mr. Blobby. Mr. Blobby is an 8-foot tall, bowling pin-shaped oomp figure covered with yellow spots. He communicates by repeating the word "Blobby" in a mechanically altered voice and expresses emotion through the tone in his voice. Mr. Blobby would participate in pranks involving celebrities where he would act clumsy and childish to irritate them. Mr. Blobby was criticized for his behavior; at one point, causing one little girl to cry after throwing her cake onto the floor, which then caused her father to approach the stage and attack Blobby. Even though Mr. Blobby is not well-known to this day here in America, he still has a reputation in Britain. Mr. Blobby both entertained and terrorized the British throughout all the 90s.....

#7. The Lady of the Cold (The Moomins)
The Lady of the Cold is a minor antagonist in a Finnish cartoon called "The Moomins". She's a mysterious, ghost-like figure that appears once every winter in Moomin Valley. She comes in search of gifts that are offered to her. If one was unfortunate enough to see the Lady of the Cold in person, she would take hot pursuit of that particular person and freeze the person just by staring at him/her. While her one and only appearance in the show is brief, the Lady of the Cold has gained a reputation as one of the most feared villains in a children's TV show due to her bizarre appearance, her icy-cold stare that could kill a normal person, and an ominous female choir that accompanies her during her presence.

#6. Him (The Powerpuff Girls)
Definitely the most well-known character on this list, Him is a recurring antagonist in the show who would often cause trouble for the Powerpuff Girls. He's a cross-dressing, humanoid demon that uses cunning tricks and dark magic to defeat the Girls. Him is also known as the "Ultimate Evil". His most well-known appearances were in "Tough Love", where he turned all of Townsville against the Girls, and in "Speed Demon", where he took over Townsville in a dystopian universe. Unlike the other villains, the Girls would have to find a solution or flaw in Him's plans in order to defeat him. Apparently, Him is so strong that he even resurrected the Rowdyruff Boys.

#5. The Baby Sun (Teletubbies)
Teletubbies was infamous for its weirdness. It featured 4 brightly-colored alien creatures called the Teletubbies, who would play in the grassy fields near their home with their personal belongings which include a hat, a scooter, a purse, and a ball. Not only were the Teletubbies peculiar looking, but the side characters looked pretty unusual too. There was a living vacuum called Noo Noo who would clean up their messes and accidentally suck up their belongings, but strangest of all, is the Baby Sun. This horrifying thing was a sun with a baby's face slapped on it. The Baby Sun just gives feelings of "Uncanny Valley" whenever it would giggle or even appear on camera. Well, there are more terrifying moments in the show, such as this skit (www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASnh7_… ) where these bear and lion cut-outs just appear out of nowhere and just look like they don't fit in the show.

#4. The Puppets (Peppermint Park)
This show can be best described on TV Tropes as "Straight to DVD and Straight from Hell", and frightfully so. It features a horrifying group of puppets that just gave children lessons like letters, numbers, colors, and so on. Take Ernie for example. He likes to sing about the letter "M" in this clip (www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbBNGy… ). The song is poorly written and sung by a voice that can make ears bleed. There's also Maynard, a gloomy puppet who sings about the color blue in this clip (www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZwMDR… ). Not only were the puppets creepy, but the show was a rip-off of Sesame Street. It had an opening that had children playing and puppets that gave letters. But really, what makes this show unnerving is the way they moved and even acted. It looks as though they were actors that had their heads removed and replaced with creepy dolls.

#3. Malcolm (Little Baby's Ice Cream Commercials)
"Little Baby's Ice Cream" is an ice cream parlor that can only be found in Philadelphia, PA. Really, the company had an insanely bizarre idea for a commercial. It featured Malcolm, a humanoid, ice cream creature who loves "Little Baby's Ice Cream". Malcolm has a blank look throughout this particular commercial, even while he's slowly eating himself alive and distorted music plays in the background (www.youtube.com/watch?v=erh2ng… ). His voice honestly gives off a creepy vibe. Really, Malcolm would feel more at home on a horror/porno flick, rather than an ice cream commercial.....

#2. Ratafak Plachta (Slnecko)
Definitely the most obscure character on this countdown, Ratafak Plachta is a character from an old Czech-Slovakian children's show. Well, it's pretty hard to describe this character, but according to a user on Reddit, his name translates to "Nosey Blankets". He enjoys the presence of children, and even plays with them. Here is Ratafak Plachta in this clip, singing an incredibly creepy song (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt2fue… ). That's all I could get out of this character. He just looks so damn creepy and moves in such a bizarre way.

#1. Mr. Noseybonk (Jigsaw)
Topping off the list is a character from a British children's show in the 80s. Mr. Noseybonk just screams "serial killer". He has a mask glued onto his face. Said mask has an unusually long nose, a permanent smile, and these lifeless eyes that just seem to stare off into the distance. Noseybonk was originally intended to serve as the show's comic relief character but as the series went on, he became the subject of children's fears. Information about Noseybonk was scarce until quite recently, when Charlie Brooker described him as a leering death mask figure who would sneak into strangers' bedrooms in the dead of night and knife you and knife you and knife you and knife you....

Mr. Blobby: Blob..... (No.....)
Me: Then stop!
Mr. Blobby: Blobby. (Okay.)

* Mr. Blobby then steps into the Familiar of Zero universe for his rematch against Louise. *

Hence why I drank an Anti-Mary Sue potion for this, since Louise is one.

It'd be effective against Dokuro and hopefully you can exterminate those abominations of puppets next.

That sun haunted many children's nightmares...

Including the purple gay teletubby, of course. Of course, that's just a claim without substance by religious fundies.

Well, I introduced myself to the show when I was like eleven so it's relatively new in my brain, but at the same time, so familiar. It definitely stole my heart, but I understand why there are people who hate the show, original AND the adult version.
