And now here we have my gijinka design for the best Waddle Dee: Bandana Waddle Dee, or his unofficial original name, Bandee! Bandee, in this AU is 7-13 years old. He was raised by King Dedede, he grew up pretty shy but also wanting to stand out. When he saw Dedede face off against Kirby on a couple occasions he wanted to prove himself to be just as strong as his dad.
So, Bandee joined the Megaton punch competition against Kirby but lost devastatingly. A few months later King Dedede wanted a rematch against his rival Kirby, Bandee helped the King organize how he'd fight Kirby. When things got dire and the King spared Bandee, he still went out of his way to once again attempt to fight Kirby himself, failing again.
Kirby seeing Bandee struggle to be strong felt bad, as Kirby was only a bit younger than the Waddle Dee. Kirby later befriended Bandee, when Bandee saw how kind and determined Kirby was, he was inspired. After a year of being friends with Kirby, Bandee started training and becoming a master spearman. He was even strong enough to join Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede on adventures.
