oil on canvas, original size: 48 x 40 cm.In the past 15 years I have never missed a visit to Sozopol and although coming back over and over, I always find something to surprise me. This year was fascinated by the smooth mirror-like water surface in a quiet August afternoon. Sunbathers on the rocks at the end of the peninsula were diving in crystal clear waters and the clouds cast a bright reflection in the sea - a nice memory from the last summer.

I have a feeling I would preferred the view of the landscape from a lower point of view, but as always, it is a fantastic, detailed painting and you captured the smoothness of the water-worn rocks masterfully
