We all know that in anime they never aged. But in the games ages were determined along with storyline. I can not speak for manga cause i haven't read it.

I remember reading The Electric Tale of Pikachu and it said that Misty was 12 years old. In the anime, I guess she is supposed to be 10 years old. It's no big deal though. It is a bit confusing because the ages aren't the same in the manga as the are in the anime

Misty was 12 when Red was 10. As of the BW arc Red is 20 therefore Misty is a legal 22. Serena/Whatever-the-female-PC-is-named-in-PokeSpe is still 10 though.

In the original Anime Version Misty was 10 like Ash. Never knew why America changed that.
