Description Started this a while back but got frustrated with it because her reflection in the orb looks like she has no hair. I messed with it and messed with it but I guess it's just the angle of her head or the positioning of the lights that makes it look that way. Anyways, I'm done messin' with it now.

I just work from home making candles and watching my best friend's son... but he's at his dad's for the month, so I guess I'm on vacation too now. Love the outfit and you sometimes get that kind of reflection on a round surface .I personally think you nailed it ,the glow of the orb and the glow in the sky gives the hole thing an ominousness atmosphere.Very nice!!!!!

Thank you, hon'! I'm so glad you like it! I appreciate the kind words. As for the reflection, I think it's just the angle of her head... it's hiding her hair behind her on the orb. No biggie, though... I'm happy with it overall now. Maybe one of these days I'll figure out how to do the reflections better... but at least this is a start!

OMG! This is just superb art hon...the detail in the scene and I love the character in her face...I have no idea how you did the reflection in the orb but it's amazing (and hr hair looks just fine). You just blow me away

Thanks so much, Jan! The orb was sort of experimental... was playing around with a freebie copper material I found at RDNA... tweaked the transparency a bit and added reflection on a whim and voila! Still getting the hang of reflections and the material room... not my forte, but I'm getting there. Thank you again for the wonderful comment. I appreciate it very much!

Bravo, My Dear. Gorgeous work. The darkness really fits the scene and theme. Great detail.

The position of the hair looks to me to be the issue. It looks as though the figure is directly between the hair and the globe, therefore being blocked. But that is very minor and had you not mentioned nobody would have known.
