The old version was grainy, the lines were bad, and I was still trying to figure out how to color a white character and I was afraid of shading and shadowing. I've gotten braver with the pain brush xD

Loving the bolder colours but I also like how it looks much darker too, it looks like she is falling into a dark despair, what with the mixture of shadows, rain and her expression.

Everything about this is amazing. The change of the background color suits the emotionso much more. The rain effects are just so much better, and the lineart is so much smoother! I especially love how this time around, you've colored the lineart - It really suits your style and gives it even more life! The eyes no longer look blurry and off, but instead are intense and stand out well, drawing the attention to her gorgeous expression! And don't even get me started on the glow of her third nipple! O_O Glowy effects are so hard but you've pulled it off amazingly here!

Just looked at the two of them and yeah, you've improved substantially. I say this a lot but the hair is fantastic, I love the texture and shine it has to it. As always you do wonderful work with tears, the reflection of her gem's glow in them was a nice touch. The touched-up ribbons and the way you've colored the rain in both look superb. Most excellent stuff.

Thank you, I did go in and change a few things. The position of her eyes, the folds on her sash, I curled her pinky, I think the small changes make it better aside from the actual coloring. And thanks, That hair was a pleasure to do

In all bluntness, your prior version was quite good but you are right, the richer deeper colors are just kickin in your revisit!

I found reading up on color theory helped me a lot. I shade in seep shades of blue and purple and do a lot of highlighting in bright colors. The ONLY time I use white to highlight is on Celeste, because he's a stark white and using a cream or blue, no matter how light, looks bad.
