Commission for Sherree!I really enjoyed doing this pose! I must try out more dynamic angles/poses like this in the future!
I was very conflicted about which composition to go with so there's actually a version 2:Β

Personally I like Version 2,because it feels open and free spirited, while this version it feels more grounded because of how the background of the trees draw the eyes down. If that all makes sense xDΒ

Interesting how each version almost looks totally different...even though it's just the mountain in the background that's reversed.Β Not sure which one I like better.

In my opinion the other version is more satisfying to see for the human eye, since it's "lighter" to see and is more empty (therefore less heavy) in its left part due to its lack of "objects" that occupy the space. Plus its looks more like she's leaping like she's actually going to fly away with one single jump, which adds a whole new sensation to the painting. This one you posted is more balanced though, and is as good as the other one.
