I love Kanon! I actually just submitted a drawing of him myself. There is so few drawing of him and personally, I think he's a wonderful character and among my favorites.

As for what happened to him, it was insinuated that he was taken off to be executed, but people in Code Geass always have tenancies to come back from the dead. Hopefully Kanon is one of those individuals.

You really didn't like the ending? It was sad, but I thought it was a bitter sweet way to end. Not like, Kallen coming in and swiping off his head, or Schneizel (God I love him) winning or Charles or anyone.
