As you know the Klingons were once the sworn enemy of the Federation and they live by the virtue of honor.
The Gloranites also live by pride. Too many of us, pride is a sin. But to the Gloranites, pride is a sacred virtue.
Once upon a time the Gloranites were once sworn enemy of the Federation as well as the Klingons.
The Gloranite race are bloodthirsty vampiric Amazons which once upon a time wanted to take over the galaxy.
They believe that pride is strength and humility is weakness. And Gloranite weapons are there augmented plasma sidearms and various swords and melee weapons. Once the Gloranites were allies to either the Klingons and the Romulans. And according to my Star Trek universe, the Gloranites have used cloaking devices long before the Romulans. And that's why Gloranites use anti-tachion emitters scramble Romulan cloaking devices. I hope that likes what I did with their base.
