Description
Why am I what fuels the fire?
Constantly getting burned,
Constantly getting hurt-
Everyone else left because they were right,
I decided to stay and fight
But I'm growing weary of flames and heat
But I'm too stubborn to call it defeat
And yet now I grow tired of scalding and screams-
     I am sick of this fire haunting my dreams,
Taunting my being as I become scorched,
Using my being as a bleeding torch
I fear for the day that I'll become ash,
But at least this fire would become dead at last...

I didn't spark these flames,
and I cannot prevent it
There is nothing to help it,
I cannot pretend it
They stepped out of the fire under this rickety roof,
     but to stand and endure is the fate I did choose
Why I remain in these flames is unknown to me,
     to burn and to scream and to scar without heed,
But one day this fire will sizzle and bleed,
     And cease, it'll stop, and my pain will be done-
All except for the memories
     of when I fueled the fire
