workshopping for some ocs/an au :]
i wanted other neotenic salamanders to be distinct enough to tell apart from an axolotl
waterdogs & sirens have mouths bc their mouths are more visible when their mouths are closed (ESPECIALLY waterdogs/mudpuppies, they have a straight up :3)
(mudpuppies have sharp teeth! iirc they actually do undergo metamorphosis they just keep the aquatic traits?)
oh right and im trying to convince myself its ok for them to not be naturally colored bc nobody is canonically
