so that was a hell of an arc lemme clear things up
-feeling like his life was crumbling around him, everglow had an episode where he felt completely disconnected from his body
-this is what caused his unusual appearance in his mind (he never actually looked like that physically oops)
-return of "the spirits"! the second two looked after his body while the one resembling his stump self went looking for him
-he was found and brought back to his senses
-he's technically felt his clump arms since here , yes that's technically a retcon since he didnt have the mutation (the actual physical arms will come back someday!)
-even though he's in a better state of mind, he still sometimes feels the sensation of the tail he had during the episode
