Description

I decided when Overwatch first came out to create a way for my OC, Emerald to fit into the storyline. It took me a while to create a backstory and design for her but I'm finally happy with how she came out.

Weapons:
Duel Glock 17 guns that rest in holsters on her hips.
Tungsten claws on her left hand which also have a ‘taser’ feature.
12 inch buck knife she wears in an ankle holster on her right ankle.
Abilities:
‘Hypermobility’- Emerald is double jointed.
‘Feline Grace’- As a child she trained as a rhythm gymnast and ballerina, two sports that helped hone her agility and sense of balance.
‘Hack’- Like Sombra she is able to hack the weapons of her enemies as well as enemy Omnics and computer systems.
‘Render’- Using technology similar to Sombra’s ‘stealth’, Emerald is able to cast an illusion on herself to take on the appearance of someone else. Hence her code name of ‘Copycat.’ This ability is time and stress sensitive. Usually Emerald can hold a ‘rendered’ form for fifteen minutes. However if she is in a stressful situation(ie open combat) then her illusion can be weakened or even broken as it take a lot of energy and concentration to remain ‘rendered.’
Personality:
Like most girls her age, Emerald is hyper, chipper and always looking for fun.
She is very curious, a trait that often times gets her into trouble.
She takes great pride in her hacking abilities, especially since she learned this skill from her late Father.
Emerald tends to doubt herself easily and can become nervous around the more senior Overwatch members.
While bubbly on the surface, Emerald uses this happiness as a mask to cover her true emotions of sorrow that she carries due to her parents tragic death.
She is not very experienced when it comes to dating and can easily become flustered/shy when interacting with someone she finds attractive.
Hobbies:
Working on new computer coding.
Disassembling and reassembling various tech.
Drawing/watercolor painting.
Practicing her gymnastic and ballet skills.
Watching nature/history documentaries.
Interesting Facts:
Emerald use to do gymnastics competitively when she was a child.
Her favorite ballet to dance in was The Nutcracker.
Much of her childhood was spent living between various countries such as Canada, Norway, England, Scotland, Ireland and Italy.
She has suffered from depression and anxiety since her parent's death.
Lynx 17 is her virtual hacker penpal.
Emerald can speak 3 languages(English, French, Norwegian) and understands Irish Gaelic but does not speak it fluently.
Emerald is a huge animal lover, especially cats.
She has always had a fondness for reading stories of mythical beasts and other fantasy creatures.
History:
Both her parents worked for Overwatch back before it was disbanded.
Her father was a world famous computer programmer.
Her mother was a well respected Toxicologist with a major in Chemistry and Pharmacology.
It was her father’s passion for data collecting and programming which gave Emerald a love of technology from an early age.
She wanted to follow in father’s footsteps and joined Helix at a young age to help deal with the rogue Anubis program, showing great skill with her hacking abilities.
Tragically her parents died in an explosion at an Overwatch base when she was in her early teens.
Unknown to her was that her Aunt, Moira was the mastermind behind the attack, wanting to silence her sister, Lillian who knew of her illegal experiments and was threatening to inform Jack Morrison about it.
