This thing has been like a year in the making due to changes in ships and designs TnT BUT! Finally everything is how I’d like it and I’m pleased to be able to share with you all my concepts for the next generation of the MLP cast!!

Applejack and Trouble Shoes

Applejack watched from afar as her friends and family settled into relationships and longed for a special somepony to call her own. However between running Sweet Apple Acres and occasionally saving the world, AJ found she had no time to court a suitable stallion. Meanwhile, Trouble Shoes moved to Ponyville to help out at the CMC’s camp as a speaker and leader. He became good friends with the Ponyville Apples. So when he found out that AJ was seeking a donor to father a foal, Trouble Shoes volunteered. Their foals were both artificially conceived and are parented equally. AJ and Trouble Shoes remain close friends.

Fluttershy and Big Macintosh

Fluttershy and Big Mac had known each other since they were foals and used to play together quiet a lot. But they grew up, grew apart and grew into themselves. They rekindled their friendship through Applejack’s constant persistence. Big Mac asked her to marry him (again after much of AJ’s constant nagging) only months after becoming friends again and Fluttershy said yes. They were married shortly after and Big Mac moved to her cottage. On their one year wedding anniversary Fluttershy was the first of the Mane 6 to become a mother.

Apple Bloom and Snails

Snails had grown up to become a respected conchologist while Apple Bloom and her fellow CMC had started a Cutie Mark Camp for young ponies in Ponyville. The former CMC contacted the school in which Snails worked to see if they had anypony able to come talk at the camp. Snails gladly volunteered and it was there he and Apple Bloom reconnected. The two corresponded for some months before Snails officially asked permission to court her. A few months later they were married and moved into a house on the outskirts of Ponyville.

Babs Seed and Snips

Babs was introduced to Snips at Apple Bloom and Snails’ wedding. Both being barbers with big dreams, they hit it off right away. They stayed in contact when Babs went back to Manehattan and Snips remained in Ponyville working for Rarity. Soon after they started dating long distance, Babs and Snips decided to open their own salon in Manehattan. They were married soon after and a pair of twins came along a few months after their wedding.

Little Strongheart and Braeburn

Little Strongheart and Braeburn were attracted to each other from the moment they met. They dated in secret for many years before getting married. They were unable to naturally conceive a foal and turned to magic. For their first foal, Braeburn was the one to be changed into a buffalo temporarily. Years later, when they decided to try again, Little Strongheart volunteered to be turned into a pony. The drain of having to constantly have the spell refreshed as well as having a half buffalo foal inside of her pony sized body caused Little Strongheart to be very weak and she did not survive the labor.

Roseluck and Braeburn

Braeburn met Roseluck while visiting Ponyville for the Apple Family Reunion. He had come a week early to help plan and set up since both AJ and Big Mac were caring for young foals. (Little Strongheart was dealing with political matters in Appleloosa and couldn’t make it). He went out one night and got roaringly drunk and it just so happened Roseluck was at the same bar. They spent the night together and Roseluck became pregnant. She never told Braeburn or anypony else about Rose Gold’s father.

Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor

Cadence and Shining Armor waited a while to have their first foal. They had already been married for several years. Once they got a taste for parenting, they started trying for a second foal right away. They had their hooves full with both young foals so they waited a while before having their third.

Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Flash Sentry

Whenever Twilight was in the Crystal Empire or Flash escorted Cadence anywhere they would always end up running into each other. Literally. Cadence was the first to catch on to their feelings for each other and encouraged both of them to make a move. Eventually she managed to get through to Flash and he asked if he could formally court Twilight. Twilight of course said yes and the two began a short courtship before becoming engaged. The wedding was larger and more fanciful than Cadence and Shining Armor’s and went off without any changeling invasions.

Princess Celestia and Discord, Lord of Chaos

Celestia and Discord had been lovers once upon a time before he took over Equestria and was turned to stone. A while after he was reformed, he and Celestia began seeing each other again in secret. It was like they were 500 years old again. They had a small wedding with just a few friends and family in attendance. They wasted no time trying for a foal and Chronos was born a little more than a year after they were married. The general public of Equestria doesn’t consider Discord their King, which he doesn’t mind in the slightest but will fight anyone who dares say his children aren’t royalty.

Princess Luna and ???

When Princess Luna announced there was to be another royal birth, everyone expected it to be Cadence or Twilight. No one suspected that the Princess of the night would be one to have a foal out of wedlock. The father of the foal was never announced, but he is suspected to be a guard of Luna’s.

Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich

Pinkie and Cheese remained close friends after their first meeting and talked often. Cheese would show up in Ponyville from time to time without warning and would stay with Pinkie. Everypony suspected they were more than friends, but they never put any official labels on their relationship. After one of Cheese’s visits, Pinkie became pregnant. She elected not to tell Cheese for fear that he might not want the foal. She wouldn’t lie to him if he asked, but she decided not to outright tell him. He didn’t come around for the entire time she was pregnant, but when she went into labour almost two months early her friends contacted Cheese to let him know. He immediately came to be with her and promised to never leave her or their daughter’s sides ever again. He and Pinkie never did get married.

Maud Pie and Pokey Pierce

Maud and Pokey met at one of Pinkie’s parties in Ponyville. Pokey was part of the cleanup crew but attended the entirety of all of Pinkie’s parties. He admittedly had a crush on the pink mare, but as soon as he met Maud he fell head over hooves for her humor and she for his. They dated for a while before getting married and settling down. They made a deal that they would each choose a part of their children’s names because if Maud had it her way they’d all be named Rock.

Rainbow Dash and Soarin’

Rainbow and Soarin’ had known each other from back in school. Soarin was a couple years ahead of Dash so they didn’t have much interaction but they both had a crush on the other. They became very good friends while Dash was in the Wonderbolts reserves and started dating soon after she became a full-fledged Wonderbolt. They hadn’t been dating long when Dash found out she was pregnant. She wasn’t going to keep the foal but Soarin’ convinced her otherwise and asked her to marry him. Dash accepted and they were married a few weeks before Ink was born. Dash and Soarin’ both loved their son immensely but their marriage just wasn’t working. They ended things on good terms and have shared custody of Ink.

Rainbow Dash and Quibble Pants

Dash and Quibble remained really good friends after the Daring Doo convention and Quibble would often watch Ink when his parents were busy. Quibble was there for both Rainbow and Ink through the divorce and started to have feelings for the mare. However, Quibble felt it was wrong to pursue his best friend who was newly divorced and now a single mother. Dash was the one to make the first move with Ink’s blessing. They dated for a while when Dash found out she was pregnant again. And again she was unsure about keeping the foal. She’d done all this before and it hadn’t ended well. Quibble was able to convince her otherwise and they were married a few months before the twins were born.

Scootaloo and Rumble

Rumble and Scootaloo had been friends all throughout school. They’d always been fond of each other and as they grew older the feelings turned toward the romantic. Their relationship doesn’t have an exact starting point as they started becoming more and more flirtatious and both just figured they were dating. They decided they were ready to have a foal and tried, without caring if they were married or not. The pair of pegasi did eventually marry when Plum was 4 years old.

Rarity and Thunderlane

Thunderlane had had a crush on Rarity since foalhood, but the white mare hadn’t even noticed him until he’d saved her at the Wonderbolt Academy. The two became good friends but Rarity didn’t really have feelings for him until she noticed all of her friends beginning to settle down. She knew that Thunder was in love with her and decided that she’d ask him to marry her. He said yes, of course, and they had a small wedding (by Rarity’s standards) and immediately had Aqua. However, their relationship was not based on mutual love and began to fall apart. Rarity confessed that she’d never loved Thunder and, heartbroken, he left and never came back for either of them.

Rarity and Spike

Despite not having romantic love for her husband, Rarity was still devastated when Thunder abandoned her and their daughter. Spike, now a young adult, was always there when Rarity needed a shoulder to cry on or a break from parenting. His love for her had never diminished but he’d put his feelings on hold for her sake. After some time and healing, Rarity began to develop feelings for Spike. The pair dated in secret for a while before announcing their engagement to their friends. They had a large wedding in Canterlot Castle and Spike officially adopted Aqua as his own (she was 5). For the next 4 years they tried every method available to have a child, but eventually gave up. Twilight came to them one day with a powerful spell that could change Spike into a pony temporarily, but there was no telling what would happen if they were to conceive. The decided to try it and were successful.

Sweetie Belle and Button Mash

Sweetie was Button’s best friend growing up. She spent a lot of time with the other CMC but always made time for Button. They’d known each other since they were in diapers as their fathers were friends. So when Button confessed his feelings for her as a teenager, the only one who was surprised was Sweetie. She didn’t know how she felt about him, but knew she didn’t want to lose his friendship. Sweetie did eventually come around and realize she did love him though and they wasted no time getting married.

Diamond Tiara and Featherweight

After becoming a better pony, Diamond Tiara started going around and apologizing to all of her classmates that she had bullied over the years. She took the time to get to know each of them a little and started making a few new friends. Featherweight was not one of them. Diamond hadn’t paid much attention to him until their late teens as Featherweight blossomed from a lanky kid into a large, handsome stallion (similar to his father; Bulk Biceps). They were friends and dated for a while before committing and settling down together.

Silver Spoon and Shady Daze

Shady and Silver were once friends before she got in with Diamond Tiara. She protected him from Diamond’s bullying and suggested they focus on other foals out of respect for the friendship they used to share. When Diamond Tiara became nice, Silver felt like she could have other friends and patched things up with Shady. The two were quiet shy about their feelings but eventually (were peer pressured) started dating. They got married as soon as they could but waited a bit to have Blue Moon.

Coco Pommel and Trenderhoof

With help from AJ and Rarity, the Midsummer Theatre Revival was a huge success and word got around about it. Treenderhoof heard about it and had to get the scoop. He’d heard that Rarity and AJ were there and begged them to set up a meeting with the Manehattan mare in charge. Coco and Trend hit it off right away and started dating. They were an A list couple for a while. The pressure and spotlight was a little much for Coco and she wanted to end the relationship, but Trend was an amazing coltfriend to her and helped her through it. They got married pretty quickly and had their son right away.

Moondancer and Comet Tail

On a trip to visit her friends in Ponyville, Moondancer noticed a yellow and blue stallion in the café they met at. Comet Tail was one of Twilight’s friends and was a frequent visitor of the castle. She noticed Moondancer staring and called Comet over. After Moondancer left, Comet asked Twilight for her information and the two began to send each other letters. Shortly before Twilight and Flash’s wedding Comet and Moondancer had a small privet wedding in Twilight’s castle.

Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst

Foalhood friends reconnected as adults, there was immediate chemistry between the two unicorns. With Twilight’s insistence, Starlight and Sunburst started exchanging letters and having frequent visits. Twilight and Starlight would make the journey to the Crystal Empire or Sunburst and Flash would come to Ponyville at least once a month for the four of them to all get together. Sunburst, after much coaxing from Twilight, Flash, and Cadence, asked Starlight to marry him. They were married at the base of the Crystal Castle in front of the Crystal Heart.

Foalhood friends reconnected as adults, there was immediate chemistry between the two unicorns. With Twilight’s insistence, Starlight and Sunburst started exchanging letters and having frequent visits. Twilight and Starlight would make the journey to the Crystal Empire or Sunburst and Flash would come to Ponyville at least once a month for the four of them to all get together. Sunburst, after much coaxing from Twilight, Flash, and Cadence, asked Starlight to marry him. They were married at the base of the Crystal Castle in front of the Crystal Heart.
