Like I said Golem spirits have the ability to enhance a vessel they posses and Gill is trying to figure out what can work best for each spirit, like with this Umbrella guy (based on the Kasa-obake yokai) being stuck in a cave will limit your resources so Gill made an umbrella by poking a big leaf through a stick. Needless to say it didn't work very well. Just a funny little bit of concept art.
