The clicking of my heels echo throughout the streets I walk through. My destination, Ink and Paint Club.

I’ve heard so much about the place from other people passing by me in the streets, so I figured, why not give it a try. It may actually not be all that bad. You never know until you try.

I had dressed decently for this event, covering up my important parts, unlike other women I see that rather have it all hang out.

My outfit was an over the shoulder, knee length, (f/c) dress, with a pair of two inch (2/f/c) heels.

Not too dressy, but not so casual that it would make me stand out at the club.

I was walking down the street for some time, before the bustling of bodies rushing into this brightly lit building caught my attention. Based on the appearance, and how many people are entering, I have a high suspicion that this is the place.

Sure enough, as I draw near the establishment, I see it to the place I was searching for.

Following the line of people inside, I glance around.

The place was semidecent. I consisted of a large stage towards the front of the room, in the dead center, and then a bunch of circular tables with chairs scatter the rest of the premises.

I see an empty seat in the first row, right in front of the stage.

Taking the seat at the table, I read the sign that is beside the stage.

Tonight’s shows where mostly booked with one person. A singer named Jesse Rabbit. Based on how many shows he has to perform, he must be quite a popular chap.

The people file into their seats, and not long after, the lights dimmed.

A jazzy sort of tune starts, followed by some snapping. The people began to applaud, as a tall, muscular, and very handsome red head waltzed onto the stage.

The man wore a sparkly, sequined red jacket, with matching red pants. On his feet where classy black dress shoes, and on his hands were purple gloves. He had shoulder length red hair, that had his bangs thrown over to cover is eye on the left.

He had the most gorgeous blue orbs that studied over the crowd he was performing for. They came to rest on my sitting form, and he flashes me a wink. I flush and look to the side out of embarrassment.

All in all, this man was extremely attractive.

Opening his perfect lips, he began to sing.

“You had plenty money, 1922. You let other rich men, make a fool of you. Why don’t you do right, like some other gals do.”

He stalks to the front of the stage and kneels down so that his face is mere inches away from mine. My face darkens to almost match the color of his hair, and he smirks.

“Let’s get out of here, I got some money for you~”

Backing away, he walks back up the stage much to my disappointment.

“You're sittin' down and wonderin' what it's all about.”

He twirls back around, and proceeds to slowly and teasingly unbutton his jacket while walking down the stage. His blue orbs were trained on me, causing me to fidget some in my chair.

“You ain't got no money, they will put you out. Why don't you do right, like some other gals do?” Upon reaching me again, he climbs down the stairs on the stage, and walks around my form while dragging his hand along my shoulder.

I shiver at the contact, and continue watching him sing.

“Let’s get out of here, I got some money for you~”

Sitting down in the chair across from me, he draws my hand forward, and brings it to his lips. However, just as I thought he was going to kiss it, he pulls away teasingly, and heads to another table. His head is turned towards me as he walks away however.

“If you had prepared twenty years ago. You wouldn't be a-wanderin' now from door to door.”

He grabs a lock of some other girl’s hair, and twirls it around his finger. My jaw clenches at the sight. The singing man’s blue orbs flash as he grins at me.

“Why don't you do right, like some other gals do? Let’s get out of here, I got some money for you~”

Sliding his unbuttoned jacket off, he tosses it over his shoulder to rest there, and proceeds to make his way back towards me.

Leaning over the table, he rests his forehead against mine, causing me to jump back in shock.

“Why don’t you do it right, like some other gals do?”

Bending down, I quickly rummage through my purse until I pull out a $1 bill. Handing it to him, I turn my head to the side in embarrassment, and flush even darker.

He takes the money and smiles at me.

“Let’s get out of here, I got some money for you~”

He waltzes back up the stage, and stops just outside the curtains.

Turning his head around, but leaving his bare back to us, he sings one last verse, “Why don’t you do it right, like some other gals…..do?”

With that said, he blows a kiss to the audience, and sashays behind the purple, velvet curtains.

The audience goes wild, and I swear you could hear their whoops and claps the next country over.

My face was still a bright red tint from all the attention the club singer was giving me, and I try to make it go away. He seemed like the player sort, it wouldn’t be any sort of shocker if that’s what he did to a lot of guests. After all he was teasing the girl behind me a bit, twirling her hair and all.

Standing up, I head over to the bar to grab a glass of water while I wait for the next show.

Sitting down at a stool, I press my burning face into my hands.

The bartender rests against the counter on an elbow.

“So what will it be girlie?”

Looking up some, I smile at the man.

“One glass of water please.”

He cocks an eyebrow at my request, but turns to do it anyways. He picks up a large glass cup, and fills it to the rim with ice cold water.

“Here you go love, anything else I can give ‘ya?”

Shaking my head, I take a deep gulp of the clear liquid, before placing it back down. While I was drinking it, I let my mind wander back to the stunning singer. He was positively amazing.

I think his name was Jesse? Yeah, it was Jesse Rabbit, the one who is booked pretty much the whole night. Now I can see why.

While I was engrossed in my thoughts, I didn’t notice an approaching figure, until they call out a greeting.

“Hello darling. Enjoy the show I put on?”

Jumping, I swivel around in my stool, only to come face to face with the singer I was just thinking about.

He had his jacket back on, but it was unbuttoned.

Walking up to the stool next to mine, he sits down, and rests his head against his palm while watching me.

Looking down to cover my reforming blush, I nod slowly,

“I-It was phenomenal. I-I-I loved it.”

Grinning, he uses his hand to push his bangs back from his face. Though I wouldn’t dream about saying it outloud, it was sort of sexy when he did that.

“Well thank you darling. I’m glad you did. There’s more coming tonight if you’re interested.” He winks.

“I-I’ll defiantly be watching.”

His grin increases.

“That’s wonderful news.”

He watches me for a few more moments before he speaks up again.

“You’re awful cute ‘ya know?”

Flushing even darker, I swear I resemble a fire hydrant in color.

“T-T-Thank y-you.”

Leaning across the short space that separates the two of us, he places a light, and gentle kiss on my cheek. Pulling away, he flashes me a smirk, before standing up.

“I should get back behind stage to get ready. You take care darling, I’m looking forward to seeing you in the audience again. Buh-bye now.” He waggles his fingers in farewell, and then makes his way back to the stage.

I remain staring after the flirtatious red head in awe, my hand cupping the cheek his lips had only just recently left.

Could it be that he is interested in me? That seems highly illogical, but with the way he is acting, and just singling me out, there’s a high chance!

The bartender chuckles and shakes his head at me, while wiping down the counters.

“I wouldn’t take his actions into account love. ‘Ye see, Jesse acts like that towards all the girls, and then he turns around and smashes their hearts with his bare hands. There’s no such thing as love with him. Only catch and release. I wouldn’t waste ‘yer time on such a man girlie.”

Turning my head around to face him, I look at him in disbelief.

“That can’t be true, can it?”

He nods his head sadly, and dries his hands off with the towel.

“Sad but true love. Sorry about that.”

Looking down in both embarrassment for believing in his tricks, and despair for being fooled, I clutch my hands in my lap.

I stay like that for a few moments, before I unclench my hands and reach into my purse to pull out a $10. Tossing it onto the counter, I leap to my feet and stalk out, calling over my shoulder.

“Keep the change.”

Little did I know, as I stormed out in rage and sadness, Jesse watches me from behind the curtains, and a cloud of disappointment and sadness dart across his blue orbs.
