Scott put me through to a website where you can make your own new and improved 'fav pokemon of every type' roster, but it didn't work for me for some reason. So Scott helped me make it.So now, generation 8 has been out for a while, both DLC's have aired, now we basically know all pokemon for now, and Scott linked me, I thought it was about time for me to see which are my fav pokemon of every type as of now. And a few words of me why I like them so much.
ROSERADE: My fav grass type. If it is is beautiful, elegant but still powerful, it is most likely to be a fav. Roserade has all of these. And it has some good coverage moves like Shaodw Ball and Dazzling Gleam, and of course is one of my fav Toxic/Leech Seed users. This rose has thorns.
BLAZIKEN: When I first saw this cool fiery fighting chicken at the end of the Johto arc in the anime, I already said: I need to have that. And when the Hoenn games came out, it was the first I picked and didn't regret it. I mean what other franchise made a chicken awesome? Blaziken will tandoori your ass, no questions asked. His mega only makes him more dangerous with Speed Boost and all.
BLASTOISE: No water type shall ever replace Blastoise as my fav. It was my first starter, my first one ever since I popped in Pokemon Blue in my Gameboy as a little kid. It is a good pokemon even years later and it got a neat mega and gigantamax to boot. Also, turtle with hydro cannons on his back. That is cool.
STOUTLAND: He's a good boy. Normally most early route normal types are reduced to hm slaves, but the Lilipup family hold their own through the whole game. With Intimidate, some great fang moves and great strength. Normally stronger normal types you get later in the game but because in more then a few cases i carried this fighting pup from beginning to end, I have grown really fond of it.
MAGNEZONE: We are in the Zone, the Magne-Zone. Magneton really benefited from this evolution. It is really powerful. Even has Magnet Rise and Sturdy to counter some of his weaknesses. And instead of three magnets stuck together it is upgraded into this cool UFO thingy. It also makes you feel powerful if you say its name. MAGNEZONE!
GARDEVOIR: My fav Psychic type and my fav Pokemon overall. You can make waifu jokes all you want, but she is elegant, pretty and she kicks ass. A powerful psychic type, and the added fairy type in later gens only made he better, and a dragonslayer. They're also loyal and protect their trainers with their lives. Gardevoir's the whole package. The Mega is nice too.
INFERNAPE: In all honestly, Blaziken and infernape are interchangeable for fav fire and fighting types. Blaziken came first but Infernape is easily as awesome. It also helps it got strong exposure in the anime under Ash. It is also genuinely one of the best starters and def the best for Sinnoh. Add in the Sun Wukong motif (love me some mythology) and we're good.
TYRANTRUM: It is a motherflippin' T-Rex! Do I have to explain why that is awesome? Even so, it not only looks cool, it is powerful, due to the added dragon type and a series of powerful moves. He also learns powerful biting moves which his ability enhances so you don't want to be Crunch'd by this thing. This is why I never take the Sail fossil.
NIDOKING: You get it early, you can have it evolved by the second gym, it can learn insane coverage moves, it is really powerful and it is one of the best mons to go through Kanto with. It was close between hm and Nidoqueen, but Nidoking is slightly more offensive and my fighting style also is more offensive. But still, take one of the Nidos through Kanto and you're golden.
STARAPTOR: Best and fav early bird. Probably one of the strongest as well, and learns insane moves like Close Combat. If Bird is the word, Staraptor's picture is beside it in the dictionary. Also it's intimidate ability helps a lot and with devestating moves like the aforementioned Close COmbat and Brave Bird, Alfred Hitchcock's birds have nothing on this feathery badass.
HERACROSS: Beetles always were some of my fav animals. They look cool and they are insanely strong for their size. This translated well into Heracross, whom is probably one of the best bugs ever and whenever I start my Johto games over, you know I won't go without this powerful combat beetle. Best way to turn Whitney's Miltank into patty meat. It has a mega, but it doesn't really need it, I love the fighting bug as he is.
CROBAT: If there is one Pokemon that is worth going through the hastle with happiness evolutions, its Crobat. Crobat not only breathed new life in the Zubat line and made it one of the main reasons to get a Zubat, it is fast and strikes hard. It learns great moves like Cross Poison, X-Scissor, Poison Fang and it is also a good flyer to have. And with how common Zubat is across multiple regions, there is always a chance, no matter the gen, to use one.
DRAPION: Picking my fav dark type was difficult because there were many cool ones. Krookodile, Absol, Scrafty, Weavile. After thinking it over, I settled for Drapion. Scorpions are cool, its additional poison typing gives it only one weakness to ground, has an ability that either negates critical hits on him or powers up his own and his moveset includes some insane moves like Cross Poison, Night Slash and the Elemental fangs. This thing is a monster and that's why it is the ideal dark type for me.
CHANDELURE: No doubt this was my fav ghostie. A household appliance made creepy combined with a will o wisp and it uses the souls of the deceased to fuel its flames. Also it has insane special attack on par with some of the legendaries. Also, don't touch it because it has flame body. I don't think they could have thought of a better fire/Ghost type.
GLACEON: It was difficult for the ice types. There are many beautiful and elegant ice types like Froslass and Alolan Ninetales. But I included Glaceon because...I think is just so beautiful. And while Pure Ice types often don't pull their weight a lot, Glaceon is a worthy exception due to being able to learn a few cool moves like Shadow Ball and Water Pulse. Also, I think at least one Eeveelution deserved to be on the list.
CORVIKNIGHT: If there is one regional bird that almost replaces Staraptor as the best it is Corviknight. It starts as a pure flying type an later becomes this metall knight crow. And it is badass. It is powerful and hard hitting for sure, but if you get one with the Mirror Armor ability, it can deflect stat changing moves back. That's some armor. Staraptor is still my fav regional bird, but I can safely say I can call it my new fav steel type.
FLYGON: I just really like Flygon. It is not as ferocious looking as other dragon types but it is still great. I considered Garchomp, but something compelled me to pick Flygon instead, though it was admittedly close. While others may have picked Salamence in Hoenn, I always went for Flygon. It is draconic enough to be imposing, but cute enough to smile about it, and it hits hard. Flygon seems to be a well balanced Pokemon and I just like it.
TOGEKISS: For a while it was my fav. Now it is Gardevoir but I still love this pokemon. You raise it from an egg, you evolve it with happiness and you work hard to find that Shiny Stone, and it ends up with your efforts rewarded wit this! It is bulky and can learn some insane variety of moves, including Aura Sphere. And if you have one with Serene Grace, be ready to get a lot more flinches with your Air Slashes and Extrasensory. Cute and powerful, so of course it ranks high on my list;
This was Kiva, sharing my favs. And see you in a few years to see if generation nine will alter my favs somewhat or not.
