Alright. So I have a few things to say about this and just the overall situation surrounding it. This picture is obviously a "remake" of a previous piece I did back in late January. Well, said piece, while it wasn't traced, was copied from another piece I found and happened to liked. The piece in question can be found here: qosic.deviantart.com/art/Maki-…

The artist of said piece contacted me telling me that they didn't appreciate what I had done and told me to remove my version of it. I complied and removed it. I issued a formal apology to the original artist and everything has been cleared up. However, I did work hard on that last piece and I didn't want my efforts to go to waste, so I ended up . . . well changing it. I changed the pose slightly and the outfit entirely, as well as how the face is portrayed so it doesn't really feel nearly like a direct rip off. I shall take this opportunity to apologize again for my actions. I've been trying to learn from these mistakes over the past few weeks/months, even before this whole situation had occurred. I'd rather avoid something like this again in the future, so I will try my hardest to do just that, however it's hard to change habits as well as my overall teaching on art that I've developed and learned over many prior years, so I might slip up occasionally. I apologize in advance if something like that ever happens.

As for this new version of the piece, I'm overall quite happy with how it turned out, much like I was last time. A lot of the base groundwork was already done, so I just mainly had to paint over it. Different approach from what I'm use to doing but I feel like it worked out in the end. I also got to fix a few problems I had with the previous version. I realize the outfit is a bit more purple than it probably should be, but eh, it really isn't the end of the world. Enjoy.
