In his youth, Rupert wasn't exactly known for his wisdom. It seems the young pheonix managed to get himself into a staring contest with Bladewind, and knowing Rupert, he probably started it. From the description of Bladewind, I doubt she would be one to back down from a challenge.What a fun/challenging piece to work on! It was done for the Bladewind Challenge contest, which can be found here: [link] It took work, definitely living up to its name of a challenge, but I'm proud of how well the piece turned out.

Ohh, this is wonderful. I love it. My eyes just keep searching for all these little details, I especially love the faint, faint scaling along the face. Just enough to suggest the texture without overwhelming the shape of the dragon itself.

One of my main reasons to enter is the same as yours: I wanted to challenge myself (Oh boy, did it ever XD) Part of the fun was thinking about how the two characters might react to each other, and that's where the idea came from
