Description
edit 8/31/2021: i came back to my old da account after a few years for shits and giggles (i posted this in middle school, i'm in college now) and completely forgot about how this blew up. Apparently this brush is still relevant in 2021 so I want to address a few things that might be helpful1. looking at the comments, i've noticed some complaints that the brush doesn't work in newer versions of firealpaca or something. what i've gathered is that load color is now called "complement," but other than that i haven't done digital art in years and there's not much i can do to help. there are a few people giving tutorials in the replies in my absence (thank you!), so i'd recommend looking at that.
2. there's another issue with this brush that i felt needed addressing. it's probably not a big deal because it's just a brush and i don't think anyone has noticed this in the 5(?)ish years this has been up, but i still feel morally obligated to bring this up.
this brush was an almost direct iteration of another brush by tumblr user katolilly. it's literally the same exact brush with the opacity turned down. i guess i found the brush more useful at a lower opacity rather than the full opacity katolilly used and i wanted to share it, but it definitely was not in good taste to post it as my own brush just because i changed one setting.
again, please keep in mind i was in middle school and definitely did not have good judgement when it came to art etiquette (the art i used as an example here was also traced from a body referenceΒ π) but that doesn't excuse the fact that katolilly deserved all the credit and positive comments i received for this. i believe their url is inactive now and i'm not sure if they're still online under a new url or platform, but I'll still link the original tumblr post from their url archive. that's it really, i just wanted to get that off my chest

I just wanted to share this really helpful brush with you guys: A blending brush for FireAlpaca! It's sorta like the water brush in Paint Tool Sai (I thinkΒ Β ), and a great alternative to the blur brush.Β Anyways, all info in on the image. You're welcome and good luck! (And yes, this is another promo for my gemsona which is taking forever >_>)Β

Do you know if something has happened to the watercolour brush in the last few updates? I used to be able to put the 'load colour' control down to 0 and just blend the colours in that layer, but now no matter what the load colour number is, watercolour always leaves its own colour trail behind rather than bending. Sometimes the colour trail is just the colour you have selected, but often its white. Its really weird and Β I can no longer blend at all - do you know if something has happened to watercolour, or has this happened to anyone else?

It's not a custom brush, it's made directly in FireAlpaca by changing the settings.

By applying the settings used in the picture (the type of brush, ease of blending colors and so on)

Not perfect, any color I have selected tends to interfere a bit, but it works great as long as I have my primary color white

Hey guys I need help figuring out something i did (ill try to be as clear as possible but it might not make 100% sense..) so the other day, I wanted to make this sword disappear so the way I made it go away was tht i clicked on the background, and while still holding it, i dragged it on the sword and its like it made it invisible, in the way that it became exactly like the background, (note that it wasnt a plain one color background, it was a forest with lots of different colors). Like it didnt just do one colour, every pixel became the color of the background. Now im trying to remember how i did that...can someone help me? i know the explication was really bad haaha

I thought that it comes with fire alpaca once you download it. If it isn't there you can either reinstall fire alpaca or watch cocobunnie's youtube video on how to download brushes, and that's okay I'm a noob too .Β
