Episode Overview
It was noon, Roland and Margaret successfully found the Ceddifrass herbs, and they head to the hallways of the castle.
"I think the kitchen is this way?" Roland said, as Margaret looks at him. "Is this the first time you ever been to the royal kitchen?" she asked. "Yeah, I heard that they make magnificent foods there." Roland replied. "Hmmmmm, in that case, I wouldn't mind being the first to try the food there." Margaret said, as the two start laughing.
They found the door, but before Roland and Margaret can open it...
"WHAT IN MEWNI IS THIS!?! THIS IS RUBBISH!!! GET OUT OF HERE, YOUR FIRED!!!
A chef then bursts out of the kitchen, crying, as Roland and Margaret just stand there and watch, concerned on what they might find in there.
"Well, that is concerning." Roland said, as they open the door, seeing a big kitchen, with lots of chefs cooking.
"COME ON GET TO IT!!"
A man yelled, he had beige skin, dark blonde hair and blue eyes, he wears a chef uniform and hat, but on top of it are grey armour breastplate, shoulders, cuffs and boots.
He turns to look at Roland and Margaret as Roland perked up and Margaret had a confused look on her face. "What do you want?" The head chef demanded to know. "Oh, ummmmm, we were sent to find the Ceddifrass herbs you requested, sir." Roland replied as he hands the herbs to him.
"Good, and you two are?" he said. "well, I'm Roland and this is Margaret..." Roland said before he got interrupted by him. "No it isn't, it's cut the vegetables, grill the meat." he said.
"What?!" both Roland and Margaret said, before they end up cutting the vegetables and grilling the meat. "Ummmmmmmm, Roland? How did we end up working in the kitchen?" Margaret asked. "I have no idea." Roland replied, as they see the head chef ordering to other chefs with his loud voice. Until he went to a female chef, who was putting drops of gold liquid.
"Oi! Audrey! don't put too much, you fool! It would cause unfortunate repercussions!" he yelled. "Yes sir." she replied, as the head chef continues giving orders to the other chefs.
"If you ask me, I think we made a mistake coming here." Margaret said to Roland, as he look at her. "I'm sure there's a purpose for all this." Roland replied, trying to see the bright side, as the cat demon raises an eyebrow at him.
"But the only thing that guy does is yell and bark orders, and he's very rude about it." Margaret complains, as she cooked the meat, while Roland finished the vegetables.
"You two, do the dishes." The head chef said to Roland and Margaret. "Oh you've GOT to be kidding me." Margaret said, as Roland just take the order. They rinse the dishes and equipment before putting them in the basket, so it can go in the dishwasher.
Roland also had to take his metal gloves and replace them with plastic gloves, but they don't help with the hot plates, as he noticed that he's getting small blisters on his hands.
"You know Roland, you don't have to keep holding them when they're done, why not just wait for those to cool down." Margaret suggested, not wanting Roland to keep pushing himself. "But if I leave them here, it will take up space." Roland replied.
Margaret sighs, knowing that Roland will not stop until he gets his job done, but it makes her concerned for his well-being, not wanting him to put stress on himself.
"I just think you need to relax more, Roland." she said, as Roland just looked at her, and she sighs.
"I know, I know." Roland said, before he put the basket in the dishwasher. "I'll just take a break." Roland said. "I'll join you, I need a break too." Margaret replied, as they are in the back, where the kitchen was.
Roland was stretching his legs. "Man, I don't know why my legs feel so stiff." Roland said. "That's because you've been standing around." Margaret said.
Roland takes a deep breath, before a crashing sound came, making both Roland and Margaret jump in shock, before they quickly when in the kitchen, seeing a creature attacking the chefs.
"What in Mewni is that!" Roland yelled. "It looks like a monster made of... batter?!" Margaret replied.
"Audrey! I told you not to put too much!" The head chef yelled, as Audrey appeared "Sorry sir." she said before the batter creature grabs and eats her, before doing it to the other chefs.
"We need to get rid of that thing." Roland said. "Indeed." The head chef replied, as he snap his fingers having two small chefs holding a big block holding a kitchen knife, he then hold the handle, as The head chef pulls it out, revealing that the blade of the kitchen knife is the size of a sword.
He then was give a pot lid, holding it like a shield. "What." Roland said. "Just who is this guy?!" Margaret questioned.
"You don't know? That's Gordon." one of the chef replied, as Roland, eyes widen in shock. "Huh, that name does sound familiar." Margaret said. "Wait, Gordon?! as in, Gordon, the chef Knight?!?!" Roland replied, as the chefs nod, as they watch him fight the batter creature.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe I met sir Gordon." Roland said, starting to fanboy over the situation before Margaret snaps him out of it by slapping him in the face. "Now's not the time Roland, we need to get rid of that thing!" she said.
"Right." he replied, thinking of a solution, while Gordon blocked the batter creature's attack with his lid shield, and attacks part of the batters, he then see a arm and grabs it, pulling Audrey out. "Hi sir." she said, as Gordon grabs her and dodges the batter creature's attacks.
While Audrey runs to safety, Gordon continues battling, trying to find other chefs that are trapped inside. As Roland thinks, he had an idea. "I got it!" Roland said. "What is it?" Margaret asks. "It's made of batter, right?" Roland said. "Yeah?" she replied.
"And what happens to batter in extreme heat?" Roland said, as Margaret understand what he's saying "Oh, now you're speaking my language." she replies, all fired up. As they are ready to participate in the battle.
"Ok, first we need to save the captured chefs!"
"Right!"
They then run at the batter creature, attack part of it and finding other chefs and freeing them, the batter creature shoots out little batter minions, one jumped at Roland before getting cut up by Gordon.
"Sir, we got a plan." Roland said, as he fight off the batter minions. "What is it, kid?" Gordon asked. "We need heat to cook this batter creature." Roland replied. "Got it." Gordon replied before it shoots out batter at them. Roland tries to dodge it, but got hit by one of them and got stuck on a wall.
"Ummmm, Margaret?!" Roland calls out for her. "I'm preoccupied at the moment." she said, getting the chefs out of it, as the last one got freed.
"All right, now let's get cooking." Gordon said, as Margaret has a fiery aura around her. "Okay!" she yelled, as Margaret shoots out toward the batter creature's mouth, she went inside, before the creature started to feel the heat.
It roar one last time before turning into cake, as Margaret steps out of it's mouth. Later it has icing on it with toppings being served. Both Roland and Margaret lean on a wall, tired from that battle. "Ugh, that was exhausting." Margaret said. "Yeah, it was." Roland agreed as Gordon went up to them.
"Oh, ummmm, sir Gordon." Roland said. "Well kids, you did great. That was good thinking there with the heat." he said, as Margaret smiles, as Roland get excited as a Royal Knight give him a compliment. "Thank you sir." Roland replied. "So you two like to work in the royal kitchen?" Gordon asked, but Margaret interrupts him by grabbing Roland.
"No offence, Mr. Gordon, but... nope... nope, nope, nope." she said, as she walked off, carrying the confused Roland, as a chuckle came from Gordon.
