Description
One of my very favorite games is Rengoku II Stairway to Heaven. It's a wonderful and visually detailed action game on the PSP where you play as a gladiatorial android fighting up levels of a tower. It starts off in the sewers, the ceiling is low and sewage runs along the paths. As you go, each floor opens up, you get glimpses of the sun, but only very rarely. The whole game is very futuristic, set in a time after humanity, and the levels reflect it.
Until you get to the very last floor. It is entirely different in design from the rest of the game. You're finally at the top of the tower, above the clouds. Instead of futuristic levels, you're in a stone garden with plants and streams of clean water. The walls are like a greenhouse and you can see the clouds stretching out in every direction. It's one of my favorite levels in any game.
