It's kind of hard to do stuff at first with digital art, especially coloring inside the lines. (I just can't manage that for some reason, lol)

May I ask: "how you created the effect of hair on the Blaze the Cat?"

Of course!
For the short hair: I made a lot of little lines in the direction of the fur, smudged them, and then put more lines on top... I repeated these steps over and over until it looked soft enough. I did darker lines first and then lighter ones on top. I tried to keep in mind that cat's fur kind of makes triangular clumps as it gets longer. At the edges, I put an aura of white lines because the fur clumps get thin enough for light to pass through.
For the long hair (ponytail): I didn't really know what to do, so I tried to color each "petal" like a clay form with ribbons stretched over it, if that makes any sense. I added stray strands to look more soft and hair-like at the tips and throughout. I didn't spend as much time on this part... whoops

I used a default hard round brush, no configuration. Unless pressure sensitivity counts (I use a tablet).
By the way, I use Photoshop, so if you use a different program... I think any tool similar to a small, opaque pen would work just as well.
