More Warriors! A quickie this time.After the housecat Princess is visibly terrified of her terrible scars, Lostface demands to be taken to a puddle so she can see her new appearance for herself. She is as horrified as any cat and remarks that now she understands why cats look at her the way they do. Cloudtail insists that she is still beautiful to him.

oh wow--this is one of my favorite pieces of Warrior fanart on deviantART, for sure. It's so beautiful, and you can really see the emotion on both of their faces. And the overall style of this is wonderful, as well.

My sister got me into the books and for a while I thought Cloudtail was just a rude little kid. She assured me that while he was kind of a butt to everyone he was in fact nice to one cat.
Once I started reading about Lostface I really started to like Cloudtail a lot more. He reminds me of a biker who's a jerk to everyone but his wife who he absolutely adores.

I've always been really attached to this couple in particular. Cloudtail is such a butthead to everyone else but is extremely devoted to Brightheart, especially after the attack. It's just so adorable

Awesome. I had to come check your work out after watching the Graystripe and Silverstream video, and your art is just as awesome. You do such a great job of injecting a lot of emotion into your pictures, it really gets under your skin.
Kobb, I must know, how do you draw your cats? I do a bit of drawing myself, but cats escape me...well, the wireframe/skeleton bit, anyway. Once I get that I could do any pose, like you do. Any advice?

Sorry, I've been saving this comment forever with the intention of getting back to it, and kept not.
I think my advice on drawing cats would boil down to more observation and practice. I grew up with cats in the house, which helped too. The basic thing about a cat, I think, is to remember that it's made of curves. Cats are long-bodied with flexible spines, which pretty much allows them to be drawn in all kinds of crazy-energetic poses. Draw from photos and life (or video - anywhere where you can't pause and have to figure out how to simplify the drawing so you can throw it down really fast).
For some examples of more sketchy cats I've done, you could try here [link] My basic body construction consists of finding the shoulder/rib mass, drawing the line of the back/spine so I know where everything is going, and finish it out with the hip mass before adding the tail, legs, and of course the head.

I haven't had cause to look anywhere but the actual books. You can usually buy e-books from the major booksellers, but if you're looking to read for free I can't really offer much help besides "you might have some luck with Google."
