While browsing my good friend TightlyWrappedCoils 's gallery I found one of his backgrounds and since I still had a Photoshop version of my older picture "A Sigh of Fresh Water" in my folders I decided to give it a go.

Halina: *She sighed.* Uh-huh. However, since now, I know for sure that these lands have actually plenty of food... *The fox elongated the last words and smiled a little.*

Halina: I think I can handle it myself, but thank you. *Her tail started wagging* Just tell me where is the nearest food source. There must be at least one or else... *She chuckled a bit* You would be salivating at my sigh and having your stomach thin and growling louder than mine. *The female fox started to give Aleu a pleasant belly rub, laughing slightly . Surprisingly, her paws seemed like they were dedicated to pet the fur of the wolves as she rubbed the wolf's most perfect spots.*

Halina: *Seeing that the rub had no effect on her whatsoever, she just stopped it* How beautiful. Lead me there, please.

Halina: I am glad you liked it. So, how about the water right there? Is it fresh? *She pointed.*

Halina: Great. *She came to the lake and started to drink from it. After a few sips she raised.* Finally. It was great. So, where is that tree you were talking about?

Aleu: I'll show you.

Halina: *She tilted her head in confusion.* Is it underwater, then?

*Aleu emerges quickly with her hair flying backwards*
Aleu: I just wanted to dive in.

Halina: Is that the way to the tree?

Aleu: *reaches the shore and shakes her hair and tail dry* I just needed a quick dive first.

Halina: Wait a second... You... You just take a bath in a lake... that I had drunk from. *She gulped.*

Aleu: It's okay, it's fresh water for swimming and drinking.

Aleu: I'll get it. *walks up to the tree and climbs up it until she reaches a branch*

Halina: *After a short while she began climbing up also. The vixen was not climbing for the first time - that was for sure. She did it at a careful and well-thought pace since the trees were quite a new experience for her.*

Halina: Yeah, I think so. *She did not have much trouble with climbing.* Where are the fruits?

Aleu: They're all around the tree.

Halina: Great. *She picked one.* But... Don't you also eat meat? Like fish or birds?

Halina: That's brilliant. Where do you fish? *She picked up the fruit one by one.*

Halina: Nice. How about picking up these delicious fruits and going to the rivers in order to fish?

Halina: *She carried a few fruits in her paws.* It's perfect that you have a protein source-- I, I meant meat. *She smiled kindly.*

Halina: *She dropped all the fruits she carried (about 7 of them) on the ground and picked up a sharp-pointed stick* I think that will work...

*They both sit down by the river*

Halina: I will try it on my own. *She walked next to the river because, as a few animal behaviorists know, foxes are mainly solitary predators and scavengers (but who cares lol xd).*

Halina: *She pointed her long stick at a mediocre fish that was swimming by and thrusted, but without any effect. The fish just swam faster and tried to escape. Vixen thrusted at it a few times again, stronger and more aggressive each time.*
*Halina missed every time. She sighed deeply and her stomach growled pitifully like an angry bear. Vixen looked at her thin belly, surprised by how loud it can be while she is hungry.*
Halina: I can do this. *She muttered to herself.*

Halina: *She gave a final and somewhat resignated thrust at the river and she felt that the "spear" pierced through something. The fox pulled it out and she realised that she surprisingly caught quite a big fish, as big as her own bushy tail.*
*She removed the fish from the stick and stared at it with awe.*
Halina: I... I don't know how I did this. *She chuckled.*

Halina: *Vixen sat next to the fire and fried the caught fish above it.*
*She stared at Aleu from time to time in order to examine if the she-wolf is either hungry too or well-fed - no mammal of lower position in food chain would want to spend time with a famished apex predator.*
Halina: It's almost done.
