Phantom is terrified of his former owner, because of the terrible pain he caused him with his punishments, because of that pure agony which he felt, his mental stability is so low. His worst fear is to be found by him.

When he is connected to the machine he cannot move. He's locked in that position until he's disconnected, sitting on his knees and rarely moving his head or hands a little. Everything happens mentally, but after he's disconnected, all that pain is transferred to the body and so follows another round but not as intense.

After 9 months of training, he was sent on his mission. It wouldn't have lasted 9 months if he didn't lose so many fights and didn't make mistakes in training. His execution had to be more than perfect.
