Before Tomoe can even say one word to the clearly upset and pissed off Elie, Elie speaks first.

“Don’t even bother trying to apologize for what happened back there. I don’t want to hear it right now. I just want to be left the fuck alone, like I asked to be earlier today. Go back to your friends, Sanada.”

There’s a lot of restraint and betrayal in Elie’s voice, and it pains Tomoe to hear. She just wanted Elie to have more friends in her life. She didn’t think it would end up blowing up in her face. But that’s the problem, she didn’t think things through, and now almost all her friends and Elie are pissed off at each other.

“Sagara-san, I didn’t drag you here to embarrass you or antagonize you tonight.”

“Yeah, you don’t mean to do a lot of shit, but you do it anyways. Haven’t you gotten enough laughs out of me tonight?”

“I’m not laughing at you! No one’s laughing at you!”

Elie stops staring at the window and addresses Tomoe directly, “You know what the worst part of tonight was? It was the fact that I left my guard down around you and your friends, only to be embarrassed and called a bitch. I know you want everyone to be friends, but it’s not fucking happening. From now on, stay the fuck out of my way, business AND personal.”

Elie pushes past her and leaves the room.
