Personality: Midori is cunning and apparently friendly but behind all his sympathy, hides a crook who uses his charm and ability to steal his customers or to cause problems. Although Midori appears to be reliable, he does not trust anyone and he always tries to take advantage of the situation and manipulates people to get what he wants. He does not care for anyone except for Heiichi and Jirou. Heiichi is his best friend and seems to be the only who could make Midori let his guard down towards people... Or lose his mind. And Jirou gained his trust at the first sight.

Background:

    Midori was always a troublemaker and his uncle, Gatō, tried to make him take a part on his business. Gatō only wanted Midori's help because he was a kid and none would suspect of a child. Gatō gave him no choice: He threatened his nephew by telling him he would kill his father as a reckoning for his sister, who died giving Midori birth. Yet Midori refused, not afraid of what could happened, and Gato did it. Midori was often beaten by his father and blamed for what happened, so he felt no sorrow by his death but it didn't mean he wasn't angry by his uncle words.
    Before the battle between Zabuza and Kakashi, Midori told Zabuza to open his eyes towards Gatō, telling him his uncle didn't forget what Haku had done to him. So he offered Zabuza a contract: If he killed Gato, he could take all his fortune. Zabuza only laughed.
    Zabuza did finish the contract, yet he didn't survived.
    Midori was still fifteen at that time and after his uncle's death, he knew he would be haunted by the others. So he left Kirigakure.
    But the apple never falls far from the tree: Midori joined an amegakure group of employees who runs gambling bars at the village two years later. The owner, Jirou, is a smuggling business and loves the way Midori manipulates the costumers. Jirou offered him a room at one of his bars and never implied Midori to join his business. Midori had a choice this time.
