A new gem oc! I wanted to make a new "gem type", like how pearls have a specific role/sapphires have a rank/etc. (I used Pilot Garnet as a ref for their body type and some of their appearance as well as the poses in this pic because,,,pilot garnet,,,)

So I introduce Gradidierite!!!

Grandidierites were first made for another purpose, but when the kindergartners realized they had unique abilities, Gradidierites were then created for their specific purpose for their superiors.

These gems are empaths. They can sense another gem or beings emotions or feelings. Another unique ability they possess is being able to see into a gem/individuals past- they can only do this when they have no visors/glasses on and when they physically touch the other individual or gem. They are often seen wearing visors because it helps tone down or "block out" their abilities so they aren't constantly overwhelmed.

Also, when they touch a gem and see the snippets of their past, the gem they are touching is also reliving these experiences with them.

As such, these gems were used by Diamonds or Aristocrats to get insight on what other gems were feeling. Come the time of the rebellion, they were also used to interrogate rebels. They were useful during interrogations because they could go through the memories of others if need be, or could tell when one was lying.

Being such a powerful and sought after gem type, Gradidierites are surprisingly rare. Usually each court has one, although if lucky, they were able to produce more. There are currently some kindergartens which are focused on creating these gems or other rare gems without losing any abilities or quality in the process.

They became even more rare after the rebellion and homeworlds dwindling resources, so there are very few "era 2" Gradidierites. Most of them are from "Era 1".

Every Gradidierite has a 'French Cut' gem.
