"Due to the ongoing war in Iraq, Blackforce Corporation has recently acquired around 250km2 (135.1 sq mi) of land deep in the Simpson Desert in South Australia. The reason behind the purchase is in order to train new members of the private military company how Blackforce operates in the desert and also prepare for the desert climate before heading out to Iraq. Included in the area is a small abandoned airstrip/plane graveyard, two abandoned towns and an abandoned military base. The terrain, whilst not similar to that of Iraq, particularly in and around areas like Nasiriyah, Baghdad, Fallujah, Tikrut, etc., is considered ideal for training missions, particularly with that of air assaults, rapid deployment or armoured warfare."
