Description
A preview of the Rainmeter skin i am currently porting. The original design is ~gersma 's, and it can be found here . They are Windows Sidebar Gadgets that are sleek, and simplistic, all glass. I decided that they were so good, that i needed to port them over to rainmeter! The Originals can be seen on the right (note that isn't all the gadgets), and the port can be seen on the left. I have included CPU, Battery, and RAM monitors (which are slightly different than the originals) as well as the recycler. I also plan on porting the internet radio gadget over and turning it into a WinAmp gadget for Rainmeter. As soon as i find out how to do weather icons i am adding those to the weather config. ou may have noticed that my calendar is a bit larger, and my gadgets are a bit darker, with whiter text, well, that's just a result of the port. I didn't ask for the original colors and alpha values, etc, so i got as close as i could.Again, A million thanks to ~gersma for allowing me to port these wonderful gadgets!

Hi, I like the simple and clear style of gersma's gadgets too.
Still missing CPU load and temperature (for each core) as well as RAM and swap usage.
Are you still in the process of porting?
Another thing ... do you know the "Neon Gauges - System Info" (developed by WidgetWorld) by any chance?
If no, can I get you to look them up and see what you think? The problem is, they're only available on the Yahoo!Widgets plattform. Meaning, you need to install a little yahoo app first, before you can use any yahoo gadgets.
I think they're AWESOME looking and highly customizable. If I had the ability, I'd port them over to either regular windows gadgets or even to rainmeter.
Do you think there is any difference on CPU usage between using gadgets on non-standard Yahoo!Widgets, on Windows standard or on Rainmeter platform? I say this because I had the impression, that Yahoo!Widgets do put considerable load on my CPU.
I only noticed because my temps went up from usually being in the 30 to 40 range, up to 50 degrees despite the system being idle. That's the only reason why I went back to Chameleon Glass gadgets now.
"Neon Clock" has been developed by WidgetWorld as well (a separate gadget to Neon Gauges) which looks beautiful, clean and neat as well. Would be ever so happy to see that design elswhere than on Yahoo!Widgets platform.
What do you think about the gadgets and the idea?
Thanks
Michael
