Broadside was built as an intergalactic freighter. However, he had dreams of joining the Autobot Navy. Ridiculed for being too big for service, even his commanders found him too large for their traditional operations: During the Great War, the only bots who saw potential in him were Sargeant Kup, Councilbot Alpha Trion, Commander Dai Atlas, and Commander Ultra Magnus. Using the pressure and ridicule his peers gave him, he used the anger stored in him to his advantage against the Decepticons, who feared him so much that Megatron put a bounty on his head. All attempts on him failed. After gaining the rank of Autobot Admiral,he reconfigured himself into a carrier that even dwarfed the Steelhaven, working to his advantage, making him the largest warrior on Cybertron ever. After the war, he left knowing that even though the Decepticons were at peace, they still wanted him offline. One of the bots who looked up to him was Orion Pax, the future Optimus Prime. The two met at New York when Optimus and his team were with Fanzone when he was visiting his family.

Weapons and powers:
Size: Broadside towers over everyone on the battlefield, his size terrifies everyone on the field.
Guns: Broadside has a littany of stolen and re-engineered guns at his disposal, from railguns to laser cannons.
Guided EMP and Photosonic Missiles: He has a lot of them; each one can rip a Nemesis command ship in half. Blackout found out the hard way.
Seismic Waves: He can use these to shake up any battalion HQ.
Cyber Avatars/Puppeteer: If he and the entire autobot team are outnumbered, Broadside has an army of so called puppets based on Starscream, Slipstream, Blackout, and Dirt Boss. These do not only serve as an armada of fighters, but also give a sense of disguise, the local populace thinking that he is a normal Earth Carrier.
