Hi, I'm KonniTheVampire, also known as "The Artsy Vampire" (on Instagram), expert in vampiric matters, mythology and history. (At least that's what I'd like to call myself. Heh.)
And I'm a great fan of old survival horror games, just like Resident Evil.

So for this years #inktoberchallenge I thought... What if... What if the virus in the Resident Evil games wouldn't turn people into flesh-eating zombies, but into blood-drinking vampires instead?

ATTENTION - SPOILER ALERT! (for Resident Evil 3 Remake)

I chose the scene from the Resident Evil 3 remake where Jill is having a nightmare.
She is standing in front of her bathroom mirror and in the game she slowly turns into a gruesome zombie, but in my version she is turning into a cute baby bat. Also, in my illustration she is not in her own bathroom, she is in a hotel bathroom after waking up in an empty hotel room as a newborn immortal. She has no clue what happened to her, so when she is looking into the mirror, she is shocked and scared about her new, strange appearance. Was she abducted and used as a quick drink, but the vampire who did it didn't pay enough attention and it made her turn into a vampire herself? Or was it all planned? Maybe she was about to be used to test the V-virus by Umbrella? Well, if there would be a game about that, we would surely find out. But for my part, I love spinning things around to create a whole new story, especially behind the illustrations that I've drawn so far.

How would Jill handle being turned into a bloodthirsty creature of the night? As a vampire herself, would she still go after Umbrella to destroy the V-virus? What abilities would she get as a newborn vampire? How would Umbrella try to stop her now? Could the self-destruct-sequence, which is build into every damn facility, actually kill her, since she's immortal now? All questions that came up in my mind while I was drawing this...
