Description
Nebula called NGC 3603, called the region "star flash," because it is the formation of stars with a feverish pace. It is located about 22,000 light-years away, making it the closest region of this kind in our galaxy. This gives astronomers a new kind of "test bed" for the study of intense star formation processes, which are usually difficult to observe in detail because of the large distance from us.This nebula is also home to the most massive stars, of all those ever observed.
For this work I used a snapshot of the nebula NGC 3603, obtained with the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in the Atacama Desert in Chile.
