Day 16

Freehand sketching is starting to reach its limits I think. Still useful to experience how the bangs fall in more professional drawings in comparison to mine, but at the same time its difficult to replicate completely. Practice Practice Practice I suppose.

But I finally got that technique with the hair down! Well at least I managed to do it with that character turned sideways. Its that overlay where you have two bangs overlap each other going in separate directions, and it works really effectively to get that 3-d complexity I like in manga style.

Its really difficult to do for me at least because I have trouble imagining the overlay. But now that I've got it once, its just practicing and studying until I get it to second nature, which will likely be near the end of manga hair mastery.

Everything is coming a lot better than I expected, and a lot faster. I think the ears, eyes, and noses are looking a lot better. If there's anything else I missed, then just let me know.
