They say its all in the eyes. Is it? Show your appreciation for the Wolf by supporting this stamp!
NOTE the eyes are not blue. They are a very light shade of yellow they look silver; which wolves can have this type of hue in their eyes. It is still a shade of orange or yellow but it's so dull that it almost looks silver. The blue you see is just a reflection of a blue sky that is from the original art used for this stamp.

Nope. Gray Wolves, as a whole, are far from endangered. There are a few subspecies that are under pressure. However, there are other, much more distinct species of Wolf that need our help- Canis rufus(Red Wolf), Canis simensis(Ethiopian Wolf), Canis lupus baileyi(Mexican Gray Wolf), etc.
Why stop at Wolves? There are only an estimated 50 or so wild Amur Leopards. Both subspecies of Mako Shark are threatened under the IUCN list. Wolves aren't everything, bro.

YES. We do need to put valid conservation efforts into keeping wolves at a healthy number, and there are species that need our help. However! Gray Wolves are STABLE. Mexican Grays are protected thoroughly by the government from hunting and are receiving all the help they can get. Wolves are amazing creatures, but population control methods approved by the government are safe and ethical. Poisoning has all but been eliminated as a means of population control of any organism after the pesticide DDT thinned the eggshells of birds of prey, killing thousands of unborn animals.
You don't understand that there are untold scores of other species that need our help. Frogs around the globe are dying from fungal diseases; bats are being wiped out by white-nose syndrome. There are only a handful of breeding Kakapo pairs left in the world. Open mindedness is a good thing c:

But I'll debate with you nonetheless;
I understand grey wolves are not endangered, that's for sure. In actuality, regulated hunting is the best thing for them. A quick, clean shot to the head before the brain can even register pain is certainly a better way to die rather than starvation, don't you think?
Sharks have their fins sliced off, then thrown back in the water to sink to the bottom of the ocean and bleed/drown to death.
Red wolves, Ethiopian wolves, Mexican wolves, and a few other subspecies are endangered, though. In fact, the Ethiopian wolf is very critically endangered, with only about 500 adults left in the wild today.
I fully support endangered animals. Greys are not one of them. Their populations are fully stable, however in certain areas they aren't. But the population as a whole is perfectly secure.
