I love this representation of her. She looks like a normal, happy pony and not the villain we all know her to be. Perhaps it was happier times for her before she was the queen. Whatever the reason, nicely done.

She knew this day would be perfect.
On a more serious note, that can be interpreted in so many ways. She shows much love for her people, she wants more then just a musky old cave, and she seems to adore the love filled land of Equestria. How she would feast on love before creating another waste land once her kind had gorged on it's denizens is beyond me. But, I honestly think Chrysalis' character may have had a fascunation with Celestia's sun as a child. Always wanting perhaps to bask in it's warmth and live among the day dwellers.
She sure was one of those over achieving types that let it all go to their heads once they got what they wanted. How close Equestria came to ruin due to her last minute lapse in judgement. She could of easily stopped those two had she note scuffed at the one thing that GAVE her the power to overthrow Celestia herself.
Lastly, that really is a captivating smile she has there. Another great piece KP! And that new Spike looks so cool xD

It must have been the elation after having beaten Celestia - initially she wasn't aware that she was capable of doing it so easily - that caused her to lower her guard. Besides, that love explosion came out of nowhere - at least from her perspective.
I still wonder though what Chrysalis' original plan was for dealing with Celestia (and Luna)...
