I've had this OC for so long that I had to redesign him and finally use him!! He's my precious gay boi and I love him already

Exspir is short for the latin word for ghost, which is: exspiravit

So he just goes by the name Exspir

Human name: Jeremy Bennett

Now time for the story bit of him:

When he was still alive, his name was originally Jeremy.
He worked as a a maintenance worker for a kids pizzeria, he mainly only went into work whenever a pipe had cracked (and needed to be replaced), or whenever any upgrades were needed to make the place more kid friendly (since apparently they get a lot of complaints from parents about some hazards and shit). Jeremy was working a later shift than usual, staying overnight to finish fixing a broken pipe. This pipe has been causing malfunctions in the system for over a month, and it looked like the it was going to burst any minute. Jeremy just helps keep it stable for the night, then goes back home to sleep. But one night, when he was checking the pipes to make sure there wasn't any heavy leaks, a pipe burst completely, and the basement floor became flooded with water. He got scrapped deeply in the chest by a rusty, pointy beam, and was knocked out from both the pipes hitting the back of his head, and also the pressure of the rushing waters. He died that night only a minute later, and the place had been shut down. No one knew what happened to the pipe to suddenly make it burst like that, but police are looking into it to see if anyone else could've possibly been involved

Jeremy, aka Exspir, can be seen by certain people, including police under the pizzeria investigation and also his own family, so they know he's still there for them. He can't physically touch anyone or even be touched in general. His ghost form can only be seen by those select people, in which he chose himself when he was brought back to the world as the spirit he currently is.
