Avacyn has been pretty illusive when it comes to even making line art of her, everything always seems off. This is one of the only times that I've been able to feel good about a line art drawing of her. I feel like a lot of the heavy lifting of the piece is being done by the special effects brushes. Really like the face in this one though. I miss how I used to make clouds. Wasn't really interested in making the floating islands in this one either, really get disengaged when I'm working on background imagery, maybe I just don't have a lot of visual touchstones at my disposal there.

Used a sketch reference that I found somewhere on Pinterest but didn't trace from it or use it as a base or anything like that. Obviously this is a part of the deck re-art that I'm in the middle of. Not sure who is next on the chopping block... maybe Akroma? I think she's in there still. yet another one that I haven't really done a cool good drawing of just yet. Come to think of it I think I've finished Gisella and haven't uploaded her, bizzare.

I think my next project really should be the Spring picture for this year... super late on that one again but I at least have some ideas there to build on.

other project that just came to me today is to make a few pictures of the 'councilors' I have in my mind that help me through the day and a phrase that is part of my foundations that I think fits them. I.E. Callisto saying 'Sometimes the path is horrific, but truth is truth.' or 'you always have agency' I think Artemis would have 'Your worth is not measured by if you've found a partner' Cashmere would be 'Your compassion and ability to empathize with others is a valuable gift that you can choose to give, or not.'

Really like that idea... maybe the goddesses should get in on that project too
