Woah... 38 comments, mostly to do with the meaning of and the actions of a spool.
Yup.

Next time, confuse the hell out of them by talking about mastication.

I bet "mastication" would surely bring on a slew on bawdy jokes. I saw a TV host ask people what they think it meant and EVERY. DAMN. PERSON. associated it with masturbation.

Hah. Fools. Gotta love those suspicious words. Like proliferation, defenestration... anything that ends with -ation, come to think of it.
I love public idiocy.

I have to admit, as of right NOW, I have no idea what defenestration is, . But yes, we have to love public stupidity. ^_^ It makes for fun times, indeed.

Heh. Uh, defenestration is the act of throwing something out of a window. Seriously, that's what it means; it's one of those words that probably don't even deserve to be words! I mean, who comes up with a word like that?
Anyway.

That's insane. At least I like how it sounds!
So I could say I defenestrated the chair?

The word spool backwards is loops. Anagrams are sloop and pools.
But that has nothing to do with anything.

Spool is a great word. Almost great enough to make me want to go sew... but I'd rather sit here and laugh at this instead... much more productive.

... how would you get run over by a spool? wouldn't you go under the bit that is....up.... ok... hard to explain, but you get me right?
a spool is like this |---|
sorta
so, wouldn't he go under the bit in the middle and therefore not die! *raises eyebrow*
So, i conclude no-one- not even a stick figure guy- could get run over by a giant spool!
i still love ya though!

The wheel part, can run over someone as easily as a normal wheel can. Nuff said.

You could even sharpen the wheel part so it could cut off random extremities.

sporknfoon In reply to KChanTheYevonite [2007-09-19 16:25:41 +0000 UTC]
In German it's called "Spule" (pronounced "shpooleh"), from the old german word "spuola". Maybe the english word comes from the german word(or it's the other way around...)?
I love all your comics (Even though I don't always get them, the stick figures people are still funny^^)
