This is an interesting one - this piece is a combination of photography and digital illustration that I did for some of my academic work last year. I started by pressing some flowers on a glass sphere, having someone hold it and then taking photos using the flash. The refraction of the light in the glass made the flower and petals seem to glow - it was a really cool effect. I then used digital art software to draw the character, trying my best to blend the two together. I hope you enjoy!
