She looks so much more elegant, like a magazine ad for a gothic clothing line <3

ThanQ
Hihi I think it's funny you say clothing line, because it's only a head shot
Thanx for the big compliment anyway

Yes,well I've seen companies like Hara Juku and Ralph Lauren do headshots for their ad campaigns, so I figured it wasn't too odd ^_^ Perhaps a make-up line then. <3

In that case probably not
but maybe a skin whitening cream ad from japan. What ever it turns out to be: Thanx again for the compliment

this is really well done.. the way you changed the face seemed to add a bit more beauty to it but the hair.. its just wow.. makes the whole thing come together and look excellent, just what kind of technique did you use on the hair? something like the clone stamp or trying some form of the patch tool? I've always had trouble fixing hair so if you'd let me in on it I'd be real thankful! again great job

Thank you so much
It's kinda a mixture of different techniques... I've used the clonestamp.
I've used the paintbrush. Just to paint in some extra hairs or to make obvious hairs less obvious.
I've used the dodge and burn tools, both on a 50% gray layer set to overlay.
I've used the channels adjustment layers. Kinda works the same as the dodge and burn tools, but it gives more control over the overal outcome of the adjustments.
I use every technique on a separate layer, because when you work the way I do, the history panel can never be long enough. So this way I can delete layers when I think I've done something totally wrong.
So that's most of it

Haven't we all?
But naming them and keeping them organized is something you need to keep with retouching, or else you'll get crazy over the many layers you'll have. Seriously something I had to learn
ur welcome

lol sooooo agree with the having to name layers XD on top of that I use the layer magnify so that if its an eyelash or something small like just the white of an eye I can see it.. that also helps if your on the go and don't want to have to stop to name your layer right away makes things go better for me since stopping in the middle of something to name a layer is distracting lol

I didn't know about that layer magnify option... It's sounds very handy where can I find it? I normally make folders with names like "eyes", "hair", ect, ect. So every time I finish a part of my retouch, I'd put those layers in the associated folder.

lol I use folders as well if I have alot of layers for one thing.. ok so to make it magnify so whatever you put in that layer is as big as your thumbnail you just have to right click on the actual thumbnail and then click on "clip thumbnails to layer bounds" and that will make everything so it fits the size of your thumbs
