"I'm not a girly girl. I can still kick your ass!"
Those were the words of that inspired me to make this picture. I wanted to make this gift for her, simply to express my gratitude for all the help she provides me with.
When i started doing this piece i decided it should be dark and evil. I wanted to make character, Poison, look menacing. So in the end i came up with this background and i think it really looks well with the way i drew Poison. I thought it could be cool to learn drawing rocks better....so i drew a bunch a lot of rocks and even drew small individual scratches on each rock with a 2px brush... Because of that the environment looks pretty hazardous and has an overall negative feeling to it. The only thing that i wasn't able to detail that good is that river of acid, cause i never saw one in real life (uh-duuuuh) and couldn't find a good reference for it....so i had to improvise.
I must say that at some point this picture drove me insane with all the details i tried to put into it. I'm very glad i finished it, and i had fun drawing this plus i certainly improved with drawing rocks. I also decided to change the way i'm gonna draw in future. I'm gonna spend less time drawing small details nobody's gonna see anyway, at least that is something i promised myself to try.

Now, here are some interesting facts about this picture:

1)This picture started as a simple headshot sketch on 16.02.2012 and was developed to it's current state at 06.04.2012

2)When i was drawing clouds i accidently drew them in such a way that they resembled two huge rocks with some vegetation and a waterfall. It was quite noticeable, so i had to draw a huge stone spike to cover that area a bit.

3)I decided to count all the rocks in this picture, simply because i was curious. There are total of 674 rocks on display here, and i do have a picture where each single rock is individually numbered. Also the layer, containing all those rocks has a size of 2mb.

4)Originally i had an idea that i should draw Poison in a cave, but i was always screwing up the perspective prety badly, so i changed it to open sky.

5)The skull and femur represent those words once told me in skype:"I'm not a girly girl, i can still kick your ass!"

6) Just when i was close to starting coloring the character, her design changed a little bit, so i had to make some adjustments.

7)This picture is my 100th deviation and it took the longest to draw out of all others.

8)My hands now hurt from typing so much
