THIS IS THE LAST DAY OF LEORAI WEEK. AND JUST IN TIME FOR "Serpent Hunt"! SO EXCITED 'CAUSE I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET AND I'LL MISS THIS BEING OVER IT WAS A LOT OF FUN...

Leo and Karai are meeting totally on a date up on the rooftops near midnight. Karai’s late, but it’s only because she wants to take Leo’s mask. She’s asked to see him without his mask before (even though she knows he’s not that much different without it), but he always refuses.
Now, I know Leonardo’s been without his mask in season 3 and showed no insecurities, but the reason he’s so embarrassed her is because it’s Karai who wants to see his face. In the woods, he couldn’t help it; he didn’t have his mask. But here he has it and she’s asking to see him without it. I doubt this scene will ever happen on the show (and even if it did Leo may or may not be insecure), but here it’s because…he’s a turtle. It may seem a little silly, but he’s scared that after Karai sees him without his mask, he’ll appear even less human and more of a turtle. Naturally, their relationships has already had a lot of bumps in it, so he doesn’t want to add another reason not to like him in that way to the list.
However, Leonardo’s worrying for no reason. Karai is well aware that he’s a turtle, and she doesn’t mind. She still thinks he’s adorable and she still cares about him. Leo’s face won’t change that, with or without the mask.
