Well, it's a website where you can submit, share or just 'like' posts. You can follow tags to search for new or top posts, for example, if you want to search #Zootopia , then you'll see the newest posts about the hashtag.
You can send asks to your favorite bloggers, anonymously or not, send gifs, post gifs, comment on anything, customize your blog in a certain format, etc.
Sometimes tumblr holds "Ask Time", where celebrities are taking questions (though I never participated lol). We've had Bill Nye, Seth Rogen, and others I can't recall at the moment.
Watch out for porn blogs though. They like to follow random accounts (I just block them all). There is also mature content sometimes when it comes to your fandom, unless you like that sort of stuff, then you might need to avoid certain blogs.

These delays and lags every time I try to scroll, type, or submit something are getting unbearable. So if tumblr doesn't have that I'm leaving!! And customizing my page sounds good to me and so does the option of liking and blocking stuff.
I already hit the over 9000 milestone. I can leave feeling satisfied.
