Description

The first and most delicious treasure was so close now. Just on that tiny island with the little cave. As soon as the boat had neared the shore, Lemyx jumped overboard, disregarding her deep rooted dislike of saltwater. The water was cold, but the urge to acquire the treasure was greater than her discomfort. Once on shore, she immediately dashed into the mouth of the conspicuous little cave.

"Wait for us!" Shouted Naffy. She too launched herself overboard, but instead of landing in the water, she flew the few meters to shore, stumbled and ran in after the captain.

"Oh, it's not us", thought Xera. He stood at the railing watching the two cats run into the cave. He waited a while longer, studying the small waves hitting shore and listening to the strange absence of sea birds. He squinted at the heat signatures of his shipmates inside the cave and fired an oxymoronic blast of AM energy at them, perfectly timed so that the wave crest hit the cave entrance and exploded.

Infrared to AM energy is what he possessed, and Xera knew how to use them well. His inventive use of them is what sent him on the lamb in the first place. He had lied to all of them since the beginning, just for this purpose. To escape, and with a nifty net profit.

Yeah, I know radio waves don't work like that but I didn't really plan it out when I made these characters...
